Jim is a proven entrepreneur with over 40 years of experience in the internal audit and accounting profession. He founded CrossCheck Compliance in 2008 to provide regulatory compliance, lending and internal audit consulting services to financial services organizations. Through his leadership, CrossCheck has continued to deliver solution-oriented, client-centric results with high levels of client satisfaction.

Prior to CrossCheck Compliance, Jim co-founded Jefferson Wells, a professional services firm providing business solutions and process improvement to its clients in the areas of internal audit, accounting, tax and technology risk management. Jefferson Wells was one of the fastest growing private companies in the mid to late 1990s, growing to 25 offices with 1,600 employees and achieving annual sales of over $100 million. Prior to joining Jefferson Wells, Jim held various leadership positions in internal auditing for Kraft Inc. and Tenneco Inc.

Jim is a published author for HousingWire and ABA Bank Compliance (now ABA Risk and Compliance). He has also written articles for Internal Auditor magazine, published by the Institute of Internal Auditors, and the world’s leading ​publication covering the internal audit profession.
